COVID-19 cases increase to nine in Woods County

 


An additional Woods County confirmed positive case of COVID-19 was added to the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports on Wednesday. That brings the total cases to nine with five recovered and four still active. Of that number, seven of the cases are listed as living in Alva while the other two are in rural Woods County.

In surrounding counties, Alfalfa and Harper counties list one each now recovered; Major County shows ten with one death and nine recovered; Woodward County lists 15 cases with 12 recovered.

According to Thursday’s report, there are 18,496 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma, an increase of 603 since Wednesday. Recoveries increased by 562.

There are three additional deaths, none occurring within the past 24 hours. One was in Muskogee County, male in the 65 or older age group. One was in Oklahoma County, male in the 50 - 64 age group. One was in Pawnee County, female in the 65 or older age group. There are 410 total deaths in the state
