At Monday’s Alva City Council meeting, three properties will be considered for a nuisance declaration. If declared a nuisance, the city will be required to abate the property. This usually calls for demolition, which cost the city approximately $6,000 to $7,000 the last time. The city has budgeted $20,000 for dilapidated buildings this year.
