A man from Cherokee is facing multiple charges involving domestic abuse. Floyd J. Harris, 35, of Cherokee, was charged Sept. 23 in Alfalfa County with domestic assault and battery by strangulation and with domestic abuse – prior pattern of physical abuse, both felonies. The strangulation charge is punishable by not less than one year or more than three years imprisonment or by a fine of $3,000 or both.
