Avard Regional Rail Park Authority holds lengthy executive session

Members of the Avard Regional Rail Park Authority – Stan Bixler, Ed Sutter, Bob Firth (via Zoom), Todd Holder (Zoom), Allan Poe – met for their meeting Tuesday evening. Woods County Executive Director Neal Williams and Woods County Clerk Shelley Reed were also present.
Three representatives (A. Xavier Niera, Jill Shero and Shawna McWaters) with Emblem Strategies – the marketing company the board hired to build their new interactive website – were there too.
The authority began the meeting by approving the minutes from the previous meeting before moving into an executive session that lasted almost three hours. Niera, Shero and McWaters joined the session.
When the board reconvened, they took no action on subjects discussed in the executive session. They then moved on to confirm that insurance matters with Insurica DFB Insurance Services LLC were already taken care of, along with water permits with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board. No action was needed on those items.
They approved the finance report lastly and adjourned the meeting after determining there was no new business.
