Construction on arena project may begin in June

The Alva Arena Authority met Tuesday noon for an update on the project which includes an arena and event center. Most of the meeting was held in executive session. Attending were Chairman Gregg Glass, Mike Hood, Dr. Janet Cunningham, Todd Holder, Darrell Kline and Dr. Charles Tucker. Daren Slater was absent.
Holder gave the treasurer’s report stating there is currently $154,463.22 in the bank account with no outstanding bills. That report was approved.
No other votes were taken. During the executive session, trustees were updated on progress regarding new bid figures and financing.
