Cherokee DAR May meeting

The Cherokee Outlet Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a regular meeting on May 13. Regent Rhodes led the chapter in patriotic exercises.

Marceline Piper led a discussion of V-J Day, the day we celebrate the surrender of Japan ending World War II.

In addition, Regent Rhodes mentioned the winners of the Good Citizen Awards – Madison Rhodes from Freedom, Sagelynn Budy from Waynoka, and Hannah Mason from Alva.

Cherie Lau was also installed as the newest member of the chapter. Lau's installation represented the culmination of a lengthy process of evaluation of several...
