A third generation is taking over an Alva carpet cleaning business. Alva native and local businessman Van Johnson and his wife Brittany are opening Legacy Carpet Cleaning and Restoration, LLC beginning July 15. Previously known as Steamway of Alva, the business has provided service to Alva and the area for over 35 years.

Van Johnson is the grandson of former Steamway owners Charles and Rita Miller. Johnson is an accountant and financial advisor in private practice in Alva.
