Xi Gamma Nu news

August 1, 2021

June and July of 2021 welcomed 18 members of the Xi Gamma Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi with two meetings held at the Fireside Room of the Cherokee Strip Museum.

The new theme to guide activities is “90 Years to Shine.” Two rituals are planned for the near future. The services committee, chaired by Linda Tutwiler, prepared refreshments for the ACT 1 production of “Steel Magnolias.”

The highlight of the June meeting was the Secret Sister Reveal. Much laughter and general commotion reigned as members tried to guess the source of their Secret Sister gifts.

On July 8, members met at the home of Gloria Metcalf and celebrated summer by donning hats with a garden theme. Becky Marshall, secretary, passed out the new yearbooks. Ida Evans plans to attend the Oklahoma Convention of Beta Sigma Phi to be held in July.

The August meeting will be held on Aug. 12 at the Homestead with Peggy O'Neil as hostess.
