Cherokee school board updates policies to align with new laws

The Cherokee High School Board of Education held it's regular monthly meeting Monday evening. Enrollment is down three at the high school and up eight at the junior high. Enrollment is up 14 at the elementary. Back to school night will be Aug. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Pizza will be served.

High School and Junior High Administrator Lane Pruett had some exciting news. “Greg Williams was a National Proficiency Finalist in Agricultural Sales,” reported Pruett. “He'll be competing against three other FFA members from across the nation for the title.
