New Freedom Superintendent of Schools Freida Burgess led the school board meeting Monday morning. Previous superintendent Bryant Weber is now the ag teacher. Burgess was appointed by the board in July. Burgess has been Freedom's part-time superintendent before; she resigned from the position in 2017 citing health reasons. Burgess is still the superintendent at Optima as well as at Forgan.
Superintendent Burgess told the board about an upcoming conference for school board members. The Oklahoma State School Boards Association will hold its Education Leadership Conference Aug. 26-29. Board member...
