Several access easements approved in Alfalfa County

September 1, 2021

Officials in Alfalfa County didn't have a long agenda to get through on Monday morning. Most of their to-do list consisted of signing private property access easements. But, first, Marvin Woodall, Jay Hague, and Mike Roach signed previous meeting minutes, payroll warrants, maintenance and operation payment warrants, and blanket purchase orders.

The property access easements were for the following locations:

• The NW ¼ of 9-23-9 in District 3 to remove trees from the right-of-way and place them on farmer's land

• The NE¼ of 7-23-9 in District 3 to remove trees from the right-of-way and place them on farmer's land

• The SW¼ of 22-24-9 in District 3 to remove trees from the right-of-way and place them on farmer's land

• The NE¼ of 1-26-12 in District 2 to dig dirt for a project

Next, the men declared surplus on a 2014 SentrySafe file cabinet (Invoice no. 104-100, no serial number) and then signed a resolution for its disposal. The last two items were fund transfers. One was for a $5,000 transference of appropriations from the Sheriff Sales Tax Maintenance and Operation account 1319-2-0400-2005 to the Sheriff Sales Tax Personal Services 1319-2-0400-1110 for salaries in FY 2021-22. The other was the transference of $122,618.56 from the District 2 Road-Crossing account 1102-6-4200-2050 (Sundance Wind Turbine) to the Maintenance and Operation account 1102-6-4200-2005 for what the agenda said were repairs to the Aline blacktop project.
