First Friday Art Walk patrons are invited to join in the fun at ACT I Theatre when the youthful cast of "Long Tall Lester, The Fastest Encyclopedia Salesman in the West" presents two performances of the one-act play at 6:30 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 5.

The play is a western comedy set in Dodgeball City. When word gets out that the notorious outlaw Billy Black is returning to town, Sheriff Fizzle heads for the hills. The townspeople decide to find a new sheriff before Billy shows up. They appoint the next person to walk through the saloon door, the meek and mild Lester McChester, encyclopedia salesman. Can Lester stop Billy? Or will he head for the hills with Sheriff Fizzle? This western comedy and its clever cast prove the power of words can combat evil in a witty, hilarious fashion.

Each performance is 30 minutes, giving patrons time to attend the 6 p.m. opening of the new exhibit at Graceful Arts and still have time to walk around the square to visit businesses in the arts and shopping district.

The cast includes Avery Goss as Jamie Ace, Elliana Reames as Joey Spade, Taylor Kline as Starr Bach, Madeline Ryerson as Mayor Shifty, Landon Ware as Sheriff Fizzle, Kaycie Shelton as Billy Black, Eden Yauk as Floozie Feathers, Aiden Brinkley as Lester McChester, Ben Kriegh as Black Jack, Blaze Bivin as Shooter, Avaleigh Brinkley as Susie Q, Quinn Goss as Sugar, Isabella Newton as Skipper, Samuel Newton as Wild Willy, Asher Brinkley as One Eye, Thomas Newton as Crazy Legs and Ezekiel Newton as Zack Pack.

"Our cast is excited to be a part of First Friday Art Walk activities," said Director Thamazin Harrison. "Arts education and awareness is a focus of our youth theatre program, and we want our cast and crew to grow up supporting all areas of performing and visual arts in the community."

Tickets are available for purchase at the door and no reservations will be taken in advance.
