The mind is an amazing thing. It starts to work first thing in the morning and doesn’t stop working until the teacher calls on you in class.

A question posed in Smithsonian Magazine piqued my interest: “How do birds stay balanced up on tree branches while they’re asleep?” The answer, according to Smithsonian, is that birds can let one side of their brains sleep while the other side remains awake.

I think dreaming is a version of that.
