Lego Club, Little Explorers now meeting at Alva Public Library

From a complicated castle to vehicles, Lego Club participants show their imaginative designs at the Alva Public Library. The club is open 3:15-4:00 p.m. alternating Mondays at the library with the next meeting on April 18. Students in grades 1-8 are welcome.

With the opening of the youth section, the Alva Public Library is also holding in-person activities for younger patrons. Twelve youngsters met for the Lego Club April 4 after school to build designs from their own imagination. Their handiwork is displayed in a glass case in the library entrance.

Library Director Sandra Ott said cards with designs are available if ideas are needed, but so far the participants have enjoyed the freedom to build their own designs.
