The City of Alva received $352,608.53 in June sales tax collections, according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission. That’s an increase of 6.8 percent over the $330,049.79 collected in June of last year. The June sales and use tax distribution represents local tax receipts from April business.

Freedom received $2,649.74 in June compared to $2,089.61 a year ago, an increase of 26.8 percent. Waynoka’s June sales tax was down from last year.
