Wildlife rehabbing provides subjects for Silva's photography

 

The soft-spoken Greg Silva is much more comfortable behind a camera than in front of it, but he agreed to a video interview during the Alva First Friday Art Walk July 1. Silva's work is featured this month in the "Through the Lens Photography" exhibit at Graceful Arts Gallery.

Silva says he always had a camera but he never considered himself much of a photographer. He enjoyed hiking and liked to take pictures of what he saw in nature. Originally from Tulsa, Silva moved to Owasso after he and his wife were married.

His photography hobby really took off in 2011 when he started wildlife rehabbing...
