Alva woman injured in Alfalfa County wreck

An Alva woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle wreck in Alfalfa County Thursday afternoon. Heather Lee, 34, of Alva, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported by Alfalfa EMS to Bass Hospital in Enid where she was admitted in stable condition with an arm injury. A juvenile 3-year-old girl who was also a passenger was taken to Bass Hospital where she was treated and released.
The wreck occurred at 1:15 p.m. on OK-11 approximately 2.5 miles north of Cherokee. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Timothy Toone, 29, of Alva was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion west bound on OK-11. The vehicle departed the roadway to the right, striking the ditch, went airborne and back into the ditch again. Toone was not injured.
Seatbelts were in use by all occupants of the car. The cause of the collision is listed as inattentive driving.
