Woodward man dies of injuries from crash

One person died of injuries received in a wreck in Woodward County early Saturday morning. Jacob M. Price, 20, of Woodward, was taken to Alliance Health in Woodward by private vehicle. He was transferred by Air-Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma where he was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal injuries. He later died of his injuries.
The one-vehicle wreck occurred at 2 a.m. on E. County Road 45 at S. County Road 198, approximately 1.6 miles west and 4.9 miles south of Woodward.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Kegan T. Mink, 19, of Woodward, was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup westbound on E. County Road 45 and failed to stop at a stop sign at S. County Road 198. The vehicle crossed through the intersection, struck an embankment and went through a barbed wire fence gate. Price was a passenger in the vehicle. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
Trooper Tanner Bozarth investigated the scene, assisted by Trooper Josh Byrd and the Woodward County Sheriff’s Office.
