Contract negotiations underway for Alva Business Manager

The Alva City Council held a special meeting Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. to consider an applicant for city business manager.
With all council members present, Daniel Winters made a motion to enter into executive session, seconded by Sadie Bier. The council approved the motion.
Council members were joined by consultant Leroy Alsup as they discussed the business manager search in closed session. Eventually they called in a candidate from Kansas being considered for the position and spent about an hour talking with her.
After the candidate was dismissed, council members continued their closed...
