Alva Middle School Students of the Month for October

October Students of the Month at Alva Middle School are (from left) Keaton Adair, Jacson Cummings, Cord Heaton, Zoe Hall, Haleigh Richardson and Harper Williams.

The teachers at Alva Middle School have selected Haleigh Richardson and Keaton Adair, eighth grade; Zoe Hall and Jacson Cummings, seventh grade; and Harper Williams and Cord Heaton, sixth grade, as AMS Students of the Month for October.

Haleigh Richardson is in eighth grade and is the daughter of Chad and Rachael Richardson. Her grandparents are Bobby and Beth Mosburg, and Pamela and Jeff Fanning. Her favorite classes are math and athletics. She is involved in student council, basketball, softball and track. Haleigh also helps coach younger students. In the future, she would like to have a career in business.

Keaton Adair is in eighth grade and is the son of Matt and Kasey Adair. His grandparents are Bryce and Jane Adair, and Kathy Krows. His favorite classes at math and athletics. He is involved in student council, basketball, baseball, football and the academic team. In the future, he would like to be a lawyer.

Zoe Hall is in seventh grade and is the daughter of Robert and Heather Hall. Her grandmother is Sharon Hoffman. Her favorite classes are English and Language Arts, and band. She is involved in band, TSA, the academic team, and Girl Scouts. In the future, she would like to be an author and hair stylist.

Jackson Cummings is in seventh grade and is the son of Teresa Cummings and Billy Cummings. His grandparents are Dee Graham and Rick Graham. His favorite classes are math and tech ed. He is an officer for the Robotics Team. In the future, he would like to be an aerospace engineer and astronaut. Additionally, he is smart and maintains all A grades.

Harper Williams is in sixth grade and is the daughter of Cody and Carly Williams. Her grandparents are Lee and Tracie Leeper, and Allen and Tia Stout. Her favorite classes are ELA and basketball. She is involved in student council, basketball, and 4-H. Soon she will be taking piano lessons. In the future, she would like to be an architect or in the science field.

Cord Heaton is in sixth grade and is the son of Derek and Beth Heaton. His grandparents are Dan and Karen Heaton, and Delmer and Kristie Kohlmeir. His favorite classes are math and basketball. He is involved in baseball, basketball, football and rodeo. In the future, he would like to be a rancher or a professional hunting guide.

These students received lunch provided by Godfathers Pizza from Loves Country Store of Alva as an extension of the AMS Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Program implemented in the Alva Public Schools. The program is organized and sponsored by Kandee Almgren.
