All gardeners interested in marketing their produce at the Alva Farmer's Market are invited to attend an organizational meeting on Monday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Woods County Courthouse. Vendors with home-made products and other crafts are also welcomed to attend.

Area growers are all welcome to participate in the farmer’s market held in the summertime at the Woods County Courthouse. Historically, growers from a wide area have brought produce to the Alva location. Traditionally, the farmers market was open each Saturday morning during the summer. We would like to invite all growers wanting to participate to attend this meeting to provide planning and organizational ideas for the upcoming year.

Alva consumers really enjoy buying locally grown products but a lack of availability has limited their buying opportunities. Poor growing conditions limited vegetable production and social distancing issues hampered marketing efforts last year, but we are hoping for better product availability this summer.
