Capturing her life on paper

Artist Lori Jones holds her favorite creation from among her most recent work. Although she specializes in pencil and graphite drawings, her exhibit as Graceful Arts Gallery also features some colorful scenics.

The five kids are out of the house now, so Lori Jones says, "I have a lot of time to devote to my artwork." She and her husband David live in south central Kansas near Medicine Lodge. For inspiration, Jones needs to look no further than her daily life. "We ranch so I'm surrounded every day by an abundance of things I want to capture on paper," says the pencil and graphite artist. "I carry a camera with me, and that's what I draw off of."
