Waterline break leaves Capron area without water

Capron area residents served by Rural Water District 1 (RWD#1) had no water Tuesday. Their water comes from Alva, and the line across the Salt Fork River has a break. An emergency meeting of the Alva City Council was called for Tuesday noon to address the issue.
Mayor Kelly Parker opened the meeting with councilmembers Daniel Winters, Garrett Lahr, Taylor Dowling, Sadie Bier, Joe Parsons and Greg Bowman present. Absent were Gail Swallow and Troy Brooks. Also at the meeting were City Business Manager Stephen Ford and City Attorney Drew Cunningham.
