Fred Stephen Selfridge, son of Helen Glora (Dimmick) and Stephen Fred Selfridge, was born February 5, 1955, in Alva, Oklahoma. He passed away in Oklahoma City, August 10, 2023 at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 5 days.

Fred attended the Alva School System, graduating with the Class of 1973. He went to college in Arkansas City, Kansas. Moving back to Alva he worked as a farmhand for Larry Glass Farms in Dacoma, Oklahoma, later moving to Enid, Oklahoma, and working for Oklahoma Natural Gas as a line locator for many years.
