Alva Church of God is located at 517 9th St., in Alva. Sheryl White is pastor.

Sunday: Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. followed by morning worship at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday the church will host Back to School Blast Bible School for ages pre-K to fifth grade. Bible School will run Sunday evening through Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening. There will be puppets, balloon animals, illusions and music. All children are invited. Come and join the fun.
