KDH Board adopts 2024 budget and approves Manor improvements near $100,000

Before holding their regular monthly meeting on Aug. 29, the Kiowa District Hospital Board held a Revenue Neutral Rate Hearing at 6 p.m., immediately followed by the annual Tax Budget Hearing at 6:15 p.m.
The Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR) is the tax rate in mills that would generate the same property tax revenue in dollars as levied the previous tax year using the current tax year's assessed valuation. KDH will reduce the mill levy to 35.00, down from 35.40 last year.
In 2023 the KDH tax levy of 35.40 generated $871,224 revenue. The value of one mill was $24,610.85.
