Woods County Excise Board approves appropriations

The Woods County Excise Board met Wednesday morning with members Joe Shirley and Chris Olson present. Bob Seivert was absent.

They moved quickly through the agenda, approving minutes of the special meeting on Oct. 3 and the following monthly appropriations:

District #1 Highway Cash $167,131.36; District #2 Highway Cash $147,488.31; District #3 Highway Cash $128,268.00; District #1 CBRI Fund-105 $8,578.92; District #2 CBRI Fund-105 $8,578.89; District #3 CBRI Fund-105 $8,578.89; Enhanced 911 $19,346.48; Assessor Fee $664.50; County Clerk’s Lien Fee $2,281.46; County Clerk’s Preservation Fee $2,000.00; Sheriff’s Revolving Fund $165.00; Treasurer’s Resale $4,238.87; Sheriff’s Commissary $94.73; Sheriff’s Service Fee CHS $5,198.74; Mortgage Tax $110.00; Federal Rescue Plan Act of 2021 $6,986.45; Local Assistance & Tribal Consistency $437.40; Court Clerk RM & P $368.75; Mechanic Lien Cash Bond $4.48.

The Town of Freedom Estimate of Needs was approved for a total of $81,806.29.

Board members acknowledged the transfer from Sheriff Service Fee M & O to Service Fee Capital Outlay of $40,000 for the purchase of lights for three vehicles.

They acknowledged a transfer of $100,000 from General Government Sales Tax M & O to Capital Outlay for rural fire department equipment.

The board also approved the transfer of $161.06 from Sheriff Commissary Fund to Sheriff Service Fee Fund to correct an error.
