Alva Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jodie Bradford-Stevison received the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE) prestigious 2023 Young Chamber Professional Rising Star of the Year award. This accolade, granted during the annual OCCE conference, represents the culmination of years of dedication and service in the chamber profession.

The OCCE's annual conference, a gathering of the state's most influential business and community leaders, is renowned for recognizing exceptional achievements in the Chamber field. The Young Chamber Professional Rising Star of the Year award demands a rigorous application process and the submission of compelling letters of recommendation and is specifically designed to honor chamber executives who have dedicated one year or more to the chamber profession.

Applicants for this distinguished award must be under 40 years old and showcase their commitment to the profession from an early stage in their career. They must demonstrate exceptional involvement in management staff issues, along with community engagement, while exhibiting remarkable leadership abilities.

For 12 years, Bradford-Stevison has worked to boost the chamber and its mission with outstanding commitment. She has been the executive director for almost four years, with this milestone set to be achieved in January. Bradford-Stevison is considered an influential figure within the OCCE, as she proudly serves on the OCCE board, representing not only Alva's chamber but also the entirety of Northwestern Oklahoma. This distinction makes her the sole OCCE board member in the region.
