At the regular monthly meeting of the Cherokee school board Monday, Superintendent Schanbacher spoke briefly about plans to update the intercom and crisis management system throughout the district, which includes both buildings and the fieldhouse. The new equipment will be funded by a security grant.
But the main business of the night was the working budget.
