Driven by color

• Two artists, two different perspectives at Graceful Arts Gallery

Jude Tolar of Stillwater loves the outdoors and enjoys painting from life. Her work is part of the "Driven by Color" exhibit at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva during March.

David Holland's gaze is drawn to the building storm clouds in the sky while Jude Tolar looks to the beauty of the earth below. The artists see colors, both delicate and vivid. Each uses nature for inspiration while painting, one with oils and one with pastels.

"We've wanted to do a show together for many, many years," said Holland. "I've admired her work, and I knew it would work well together because she loves color just as much as I do. So that's why the title (of the exhibit) is 'Driven by Color' because we're both kind of obsessed by color and driven by color. It's really great to see, and...
