Nesseralla reports on progress of synthetic turf project

From a distance, the swimming pool project looks like a big hole in the ground. But plenty is going on in that hole. Thursday morning workmen are building forms (at left) while Daren Scott from Kimley Horn consults with construction personnel (at right). Parks and Recreation Director Courtney Nesseralla had just arrived for a meeting on the project.

"I'm getting real excited about the turf," said Courtney Nesseralla, director of Alva Parks and Recreation. "Every time I go over there, every day there's a difference." She told parks and recreation board members Wednesday that she's made a lot of progress on the synthetic turf project in the last three days. Once the change in drainage plans was approved, she said they really started making some progress.
