Aline man charged with witness intimidation

A man called the police about a problem with his father. Court documents show on March 13, Cherokee Police Officer Reith Claflin was notified by dispatch that Gentrye Nickel needed to do a police report about his father, Ronnie Nickel, who had threatened him.

When Claflin arrived, he was informed by Gentrye that on March 11 Ronnie had come to pick up Gentrye’s younger brother after they had been playing catch. He said Ronnie told him to come to his truck in the alley to look at a baby calf in his truck. When Gentrye went to look, there was no calf in the truck.

Gentrye and Ronnie began to talk...
