    Three felony counts against a Cherokee man have been dismissed and replaced with a new charge. On March 10, 2022, Phillip Logan Sharp, then age 20, of Cherokee, was charged in Woods County with child sexual abuse, possession of obscene material and violation of Oklahoma statute via computer. The charges involved a 15-year-old Alva girl. On Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, those charges were dismissed. Now Sharp is charged with second degree rape, a felony.
