    Max and Linda (Phillips) Hofen will soon celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple met while skating at the Avard Rink when Max knocked his future bride off her feet.     Six-month bids were due to be opened Monday for the Woods County Commissioners. Jennifer Schafer attended the meeting with a stack of bid envelopes.
