UAMSOFTBALL SWEEPS DAY TWO AGAINST SOUTHERN NAZARENE

 


BETHANY, Oklahoma — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team swept the second day in Bethany against Southern Nazarene for the 3-1 series win by final scores of 7-4, and 10-1.

The first game of the afternoon for UAM (12-6, 6-2 GAC) saw the Blossoms trailing Southern Nazarene after the first inning of play 3-0, but a second inning Ashton Currey home-run sparked the offense for Arkansas-Monticello.

A RBI single by Meagan Duchesne, and a RBI triple from Jordan Herbner aided UAM in taking the lead at 4-3. The following inning saw solo home-runs from Kendra Coleman and Maranda Clenden...
