PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) — A northern Oklahoma woman charged with using the internet to solicit the killing of her ex-husband in Israel has been released from federal detention but will remain on house arrest until trial.

Danielle Layman, 37, of Ponca City was released Tuesday after waiving her preliminary hearing, the Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/2t4pio9 ) reported.

While on house arrest, Layman, who is pregnant, will be allowed to drive her children to and from school, visit her attorney's office and travel to her doctor's office in Kansas. If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

"We're putting up a great defense," said Layman's attorney, Michael Johnson.

Investigators said Layman was arrested on June 30, after FBI officials learned of the alleged "murder-for-hire" plot to kill her ex-husband with ricin, a poison made with beans of castor oil plants.

A woman informed the FBI of the plot after responding to an ad for a 10-day acting job overseas on Craigslist and meeting with Layman in May, according to FBI records. The woman told agents she learned the job was a paid "mission" to poison a taxi driver in Israel.

Prosecutors allege Layman was looking for someone to kill her ex-husband when she created the ad, and offered $4,000 plus expenses for poisoning him.

FBI records show agents found several dozen castor beans, a mortar and pestle and instructions on how to make ricin in Layman's home.
