In 2006 Lynn Martin told me that I should write a weekly column for the paper, because occasionally I would write an opinion about something. The next week I was stirred up about something, wrote a story, and Lynn told me “I rest my case,” and the Junkman's Gems started. Lynn told me I could write about whatever I wanted as long as it didn't get us shot at or sued.
