Goldbugs hit a wall after strong start against Drummond

Alva High School's Kaden Slatter hits a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the first inning to put the Goldbugs up 2-0. Morgan Cook and Dalton Hess score for the Goldbugs.

The Alva Goldbugs lost 10-2 after strong start versus Drummond High School Monday afternoon.

Despite allowing three hits in the top of the first inning, the Goldbugs responded by scoring two runs at the bottom of the first inning. The two runs came by way of a 2 RBI/double from pitcher Kaden Slater to put the Goldbugs up 2-0 going into the second inning.

After scoring two runs in the first inning the Goldbugs began to struggle against the batting line-up from Drummond. In the third inning the Bugs allowed six runs on four hits and one error. Alva faced 10 batters during the inning.
