None of the plans being considered for the Alva pool include any figures for repair and restoration of our existing historical Alva pool. As I understand it, a yes vote allows a committee to choose any design they want and the designs that have been presented are only ideas. It seems that going from a 15,000 sq. ft. facility (what we have now) to one half or less (as illustrated in proposed drawings) doesn’t make sense for our community.
The citizens of Alva deserve the facts. Give me the facts about a concrete plan and perhaps I’ll be in favor. I am not willing to sign a blank check.

No blank checks. Give a solid plan. The people of Alva deserve accountability from its city council. We should know how much it would be to fix the existing pool before any discussion of building.
