Helena – The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has transferred more than a dozen inmates from James Crabtree Correctional Center to facilities across the state on the heels of a physical altercation inside the prison Wednesday afternoon where four inmates were injured in two separate altercations minutes apart.

“Correctional officers acted quickly and professionally, ending the fights before anyone was seriously injured,” ODOC Interim Director Scott Crow says.

Ever Yac-Mazariegos, 36, and Donald Manning, 48, were treated at the facility’s medical unit for minor injuries. Jacobo Guerrero, 37, and Mario Reyes, 41, were treated and released from nearby Bass Hospital in Enid for superficial puncture wounds.

Yac-Mazariegos is serving time for a 2015 conviction in Rogers County for lewd/indecent proposals/acts to a child. Manning is serving numerous sentences for 2011 convictions from Tulsa County including trafficking in illegal drugs and child abuse. Guerrero is serving a 4-year sentence from Tulsa County for child abuse. Reyes was convicted in Blaine County for prisoner placing bodily fluids on government employee. His sentence is 30 years.

Agents with ODOC’s Fugitive Apprehension and Investigation Unit as well as prison staff investigated the cause of the altercation.

The lockdown of the medium-security area of the prison was lifted Friday morning.
