No quorum cancels Kiowa City Council special meeting, but Bryan speaks

 


The people who showed up for a special meeting of the Kiowa City Council were not too happy when they could not hold the meeting due to lack of a quorum.

City Administrator Sam Demel was present along with council members Janet Robison, Jason Thayer, Tom Wells. Mayor Bill Watson arrived late after a reminder call. Although the mayor was present, four council members are required to have a quorum.

Council members absent were B.J. Duvall and Brian Hill. A call from the council found Duvall driving. When asked to stay on the line so they'd have a quorum he declined. The reason is unknown to the N...
