We have all heard the saying, “when one door closes, another door opens.” But sometimes when a door opens, we have to unfortunately close another door. A couple of weeks ago, I accepted the position of assistant athletic director for communications at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Due to this personal change, this is my last column as a member of the Alva Review-Courier staff. However, it’s proba...

Todd Holder popped in and said there will never be a real estate agent that conducts themselves with as much integrity, class and co...
My confidant for the last 17 years has died. For the really important things there is always Cleo. I miss my friends Max Faulkner and Bob Keele daily. If I came up with a hairball idea these two guys would guide me through the pros and cons on whether it had merit. My friend Bryan, my dad, brother Jack and a few others have taken over and has kept me out of trouble so far. For the really goofy stuff the emu next door was my shrink. He listened intently to me then gave a nod if I was past silly....
